Mother's Day Gifts and Favorite Read Alouds

We finished our Mother's Day presents yesterday. Next week... I promise to have a productive week :)
I went to Michael's and got some 2" key chains. The kids drew a teeny tiny portrait of their moms (front) and a cute You hold the key to my heart (back).

Our final beauties looked like this:

We also did some writing after they completed a mom's questionnaire... wrote some sentences...drew another portrait and voila'.

Run! Ms. Nelson's Got the Camera and is hosting her first linky party. Come and share your favorite read alouds!
Here are some of mine :)

My kids L-O-V-E when I read any of the Skippy JonJones books.  I get to use my 'real' Mexican accent and they tell me I sound "grrreat!

7 weeks to go!

  1. Yay! I'm so excited you linked up. Great choices. I wish I could read SkippyJon Jones with a great accent. I usually just play the CD because I'm no good.

  12. Would you also be able to create a template for a grandma and aunt? I would love to have my students make these, but some of them don't have a mom in their lives. I wouldn't want them to feel left out. Thanks!

  13. How many keychains come in each package from Michaels? How much does each keychain cost?
